AIG scoops up three awards for 2015 activation
2015 was certainly a busy year for AIG, as we celebrated our partnership with New Zealand Rugby at the largest rugby tournament in the world.
Our campaign was recognised by industry peers at three award ceremonies. We could not have done it without all of your support and a big thank you to everyone who downloaded the Haka 360° Experience.
AIG picked up the award for Best Business to Business Sponsorship at the UK Sponsorship Awards. The judges commented that “AIG staged 127 separate events and engaged over 2,400 customers and new business prospects. Post event feedback achieved exceptionally strong with 92% of clients and brokers saying their relationship with AIG was enhanced as a result”.
AIG picked up two awards at the UK Sponsorship Awards; Best Business to Business Sponsorship and Best Rugby Union Sponsorship of the Decade. The latter was nominated by the industry and voted for by the public so again we would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to everyone involved in making this possible. The Haka 360° Experience was at the centre of our award-winning campaign, as we brought fans around the world closer to the world-famous pre-match ritual through virtual reality. At the Sports Technology Awards we were delighted to be awarded with Best Use of Technology by a Sponsor for this innovative fan activation.
The Haka 360 campaign has also received a ‘Gold Award’ in the digital and mobile category at the 2016 CLIO Sports Awards in New York.
