The local community has always been very important to AIG and the All Blacks. That’s why we were committed to creating a space in London that enabled fans to come together and share their passion for rugby during the world’s largest rugby tournament. In total, we saw over 10,000 people visit the fan zone.
AIG Touchline was built on London’s Southbank and was open on select weekends in September and October. Fans could experience the Haka 360 and test their rugby skills with a scrum machine, green screen try dive and passing activity.
All Blacks players Kieran Read, Wyatt Crockett, Aaron Smith, Liam Messam, TJ Perenara, Sam Cane and Codie Taylor attended the AIG Touchline launch event in September. The All Blacks arrived to a Powhiri – the traditional Maori welcome performed by London Maori Group, Ngati Ranana.
